Cycle 3 has a silver lining

This past week has been GREAT!

The manfriend and I had a killer date up in Breck at the ice castle. It's hard not to feel like a kid while sliding head first through a tube made of ice. Over and over, filling the tunnel with giggles.

Tuesday Aunt Flow made her appearance, late with no apologies.

Wednesday I went in for my initial scan and blood work; e2 levels were low, no cysts, and normal looking uterus. We got the approval to start injections.

Thursday we started the fantastic routine of am shots and steroids, followed by pm shots and clomid. Yep, you heard me. Clomid. As if the previous set of suppressing hormones weren't enough last month, as if my injectables weren't enough, there's clomid. It's what we women call clomad. It makes you mad, which in turn makes everyone around you mad. It can be truly evil.

I don't start my daily ultrasounds and blood work until Sunday, which is day 4 of injections. That's when they'll decide, day by day, if they will change my doses and when they will add the third injectable med. Tentatively, our retrieval is looking like it will be March 3rd.

Usually it takes a number of days for me to start feeling the heavy, full feeling in my ovaries. This cycle, it took 2 days. One swing with my hips at work to move the hose on tiger exhibit and it felt like I pulled by entire left hip flexor. I was not ready for the immediate set back. Ugh. I hate being limited.

Ready for the best news this week?! The donor egg coordinator had good news for us this week! We've been officially matched with our helper! And, we got her previous cycle results. All 3 have resulted in positive pregnancies, with embryos in cryo! How awesome is that?! I finally have my silver lining. Now, I can breathe a little.
