quick getaway

The manfriend and I got in one last mini vacation before I have to throw myself into hibernation for the next 10 months. We spent this past weekend camping at Camp Hale, the training grounds for WWII's 10th Mountain Division. The manfriend spent many summers camping here as a child, as his father didn't mind visiting the grounds and talking about his days spent training for WWII.

We watched the full moon rise and light up the valley, ate smores, had a visitor join us for our second night, played cards, and walked the dog several times. It was perfect.

The tail-end of our trip just happened to be Father's Day. Something that hit a small nerve for the manfriend. He's so tired of answering the question, 'Do you have kids?' He doesn't mind explaining our situation if he feels the situation is right, he's just ready to put the last 3 years behind him, move forward, and say 'Yes, I do. And, they are the most perfect children a father could ask for. My wife did a great job!' ;) Okay, I improvised on what he might say after yes...

Regardless, I cannot wait for the manfriend's first Father's Day next year. So many firsts to come!

I have now been on the Nuva Ring for over a week and have just under 2 weeks left. It's perfect. You slip it in and forget about it.

Shots are starting next week, followed by another period the following weekend, and then we're technically on to our FET cycle as of July 3rd and a whole crazy list of medications that'll last clear into 11.5 weeks of pregnancy.

Prepare for a whole bunch of crazy comin outta me!
